vTV’s Audience and Future Programming

With the launch of Vulcan Television Network on Sept. 26th, the community of Vulcan has moved onto the worldwide stage as a leader in digital technology. vTV is the world’s first online television network and already attracting attention from a diverse audience of viewers and content providers.

Available analytics provide a snapshot of our viewer and our potential. Already, the vTV viewing audience has extended to the USA, UK, Germany, Australia and many European countries. A majority of viewers are 18 to 34 and 55% are male. The average time per viewing session is over 4 minutes…an incredibly long time in this age of online surfing.

And with the introduction of new content and an effective social marketing campaign our audience will certainly grow. vTVs Facebook page had 15,000 views for one music related posting alone and the promo video for Vulcan: To Boldly Go, premiering this winter as Galaxy Trek, had more than 120,000 views. Employment on the Prairies is another fan favourite and sure to draw an audience from rural Canada.

New content is added every week and in November, vTV will present a page dedicated to updates from the many organizations and agencies working in our community. Just imagine being able to watch all the latest information for sports, arts, schools, service clubs and government in one location. It will happen…on vTV!
